Physical Therapy at a Nursing Home

When you stay at Capri Gardens, our physical therapy team is there to help you reach your maximum potential with your physical mobility. Physical Therapy is used for the preservation, enhancement, or restoration of your movement and physical function that has been impaired or threatened by disease or injury. The use of therapeutic exercise, physical modalities, assistive devices, and patient education and training are all part of our comprehensive program. Our team will design a therapy program that is right for you. Our therapy services are available 7 days a week, allowing us to provide the right amount of therapy to get you back on your feet.

Rehab for Short-Term or Long-Term Residents

Most of the time, physical therapy is used for our residents that are staying with us for a short time. This is typically following a recent hospitalization that has caused their physical abilities to be affected. Our physical therapist will work with you in our state of the art therapy gym to help you maximize you strength and endurance to regain your independence and general mobility within your home setting. Our goal is to help maximize your potential and teach you strategies to help you have a safe transition to home. For our residents who live at Capri Gardens, physical therapy is also available to help keep your strength up, as well as, keep you at your maximum potential. Whether that is learning how to use a new piece of adaptive equipment, or getting used to your new home environment, our team will ensure that each resident is working towards their goals to help them maintain their health and wellbeing.

Outpatient Therapy in Lewis Center

Our physical therapy services are also available to residents living in the community. Outpatient physical therapy allows you to continue to work with your therapist, if you are discharging home from Capri Gardens. If you need physical therapy while still residing in your home, our services are also available to you.
